Syrian British Academic Association Launches the “Advancing Syrian Diplomacy” Training Programme
The Syrian British Academic Association (SBAA) is pleased to announce the launch of its “Advancing Syrian Diplomacy” training programme, in partnership with the Syrian Diplomatic Institute. The six-month programme is designed for diplomatic and administrative personnel within the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
The programme provides comprehensive training across the fields of politics, economics, media, technology, and administration, with a focus on practical skills, strategic thinking, negotiation, and crisis management. It aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to respond effectively to the contemporary challenges of institutional diplomatic work.
The launch of the programme forms part of the cooperation between the Syrian British Academic Association and the Syrian Diplomatic Institute, with the aim of supporting the development of diplomatic and administrative competencies and strengthening the professional skills and knowledge required for modern diplomatic and institutional work.
The programme brings together academic knowledge and practical training, covering key areas related to politics, economics, media, technology, and administration, alongside strategic thinking, negotiation, crisis management, and decision-making.
The Association was represented at the launch by its Chairman, Dr. Husam Haj Omar, as part of the Association’s efforts to support the development of diplomatic competencies in Syria, strengthen academic cooperation, and facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge in support of diplomatic and institutional development.
The programme reflects the Syrian British Academic Association’s commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to professional and academic capacity building, while strengthening cooperation between Syrian expertise in the United Kingdom and academic and professional institutions in Syria.
